Synopsis:

Drama about Nick Sharman, a disillusioned private detective. He decides to give up the business, but when an ex-policeman and old colleague of his, John Reed, is found dead and his wife Ann asks him to take the case, he reluctantly agrees. Sharman recruits the help of Ann's god-daughter Jane, a page 3 model, and he soon falls for her charms. Ann tells Sharman her husband was investigating gangland boss Manny Dukakis, who is now a seemingly legitimate businessman. Sharman soon finds himself in the middle of a gang war, and at the same time his young daughter Judith comes for a weekend visit. He has no option but to take her with him, despite the dangers.
