Synopsis:

The Beagle is back, carrying a stowaway. After a world of almost one year as part of VPRO's Beagle in the wake of Darwin, the Beagle Project put the crown on the film Darwin's Stowaway. Darwins Stowaway tells the story of Redmond O'Hanlon on board the Clipper Stad Amsterdam during his world tour. From his perspective, the viewer on a journey of never-before-seen footage, views of exotic countries and major oceans are interspersed with the goings on board and an exclusive look behind the scenes. Darwin Stowaway sheds light on the expeditions and let the wonder and the immense beauty of our planet to see.

The recurring shipmates were journalist and presenter Lex Runderkamp, biologists Dirk Draulans and Sarah Darwin (who is the great-great-granddaughter of Charles Darwin), the artist Anthony Smith and the writer Redmond O'Hanlon. Apart from them several other more or less well-known people joined the voyage and some joined for only one or more legs of the voyage, including some other descendants of Charles Darwin.
