Dead Man's Walk (1996)
In the Texas Republic of the 1840s, many different races and groups fight for control over the same harsh land. Texas Rangers Augustus 'Gus' McCrae (David Arquette) and Woodrow F. Call (Jonny Lee Miller) join an ill-conceived effort to capture Santa Fe and annex New Mexico. And, led by a land pirate and guided by the legendary Bigfoot Wallace and Shadrach, the group confronts death, imprisonment and love in an unforgiving world.

Comanche Moon (2008)
Comanche Moon opens with Capt. Inish Scull (Kilmer), Gus McCrae (Zahn), Woodrow Call (Urban) and their team of Texas Rangers pursuing renowned horse thief Kicking Wolf. When Kicking Wolf steals Scull's prized horse Hector right out from under him, Scull sets off on his own in the wilderness to track down the thief. But when Scull is ensnared in a trap set by the cruel Ahumado, can McCrae and Call bring Scull back alive, or will Comanche chief Buffalo Hump's (Studi) rogue son Blue Duck (Beach) get to them first?

Lonesome Dove (1994)
Featuring characters from the original mini-series, 'Lonesome Dove: The Series' revolves around the life and times of Newt Call, the young cowhand who started out as a boy in Lonesome Dove, and now goes on to make his way around the world. The post-Civil War years in the American West are among the most exciting this country has ever known. Peopled with now-mythic figures like Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson, Billy The Kid and Sitting Bull these were the golden years of the American West before the twentieth century roared in to tame the frontier once and for all. For Newt Call, the fresh faced cowboy who was brought up with ironclad discipline by the legendary ex-Texas Ranger Captain Woodrow F. Call, this was a world which held great promise. Tangling with outlaws and bandits, revolutionaries, showmen, and spirited Western women, Newt participates in all the major events of the Western era. Encountering its legendary figures and witnessing their passage into mythology, young Newt forges his destiny and begins to create a legend of his own.

Return to Lonesome Dove (1993)
Captain Call has just buried Gus at Lonesome Dove and plans to head back to his ranch in Montana. Looking at a herd of wild Mustangs, he decides to drive them north with the help of Isom and Gideon Walker. Gideon hires Agostina Vega and Mexican Cowboys to run the Mustangs. Call leaves the drive for Nebraska and runs into Cherokee Jack and a group of Indians, which almost costs him his life. In Montana, Newt and Jasper get into a shoot out in the local bar and wind up in jail. The odds of them surviving the lynch mob are slim until Dunnegan has them freed. Newt had rescued his wife, Ferris, from a band of cattle rustlers and Dunnegan was thankful. However, Newt and Jasper will have to work for Dunnegan to keep their freedom. Newt has mixed emotions about working for Dunnegan who helps him in any way, because he also has respect for Call - who may or may not be his true father. Dunnegan has big plans for his cattle and the future. Those plans do not include those who do not throw in with him and the Hat Creek Cattle Company is not interested in Dunnegan.

Streets of Laredo (1995)
This miniseries follows the original Lonesome Dove miniseries, and both are based on the characters created by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Larry McMurtry. Although much of the cast has changed from the original, the compelling saga is as satisfying as ever. The Western tale continues with the gritty Captain Woodrow Call (played this time by James Garner), a former Texas Ranger who is hired as a bounty hunter to track down the elusive and brutal Mexican gunman Joey Garza (Alexis Cruz). The characters Pea Eye Parker (Sam Shepard) and Lorena (Sissy Spacek) also return in this moving and atmospheric drama.

Dead Man's Walk (1996)
Author Larry McMurtry revisits Gus and Woodrow, the aging lawmen from his bestselling Western novel Lonesome Dove, in their early days as young men determined to make a name for themselves as Texas Rangers in this made-for-TV prequel. Gus (David Arquette) and Woodrow (Jonny Lee Miller) join up with a ragtag band of Rangers determined to take Santa Fe away from Mexico, but they soon find they've walked into a dangerous but forbidding territory of populated by hostile Indians and dangerous opportunists. Dead Man's Walk also features Brian Dennehy, F. Murray Abraham, Keith Carradine, and Edward James Olmos.

Comanche Moon (2008)
In this prequel to the 'Lonesome Dove' saga, Texas Rangers Woodrow Call (Karl Urban), Gus McCrae (Steve Zahn), and Inish Scull (Val Kilmer) have been protecting settlers from Comanche Indians while pursuing horse thief Kicking Wolf (Jonathan Joss), Comanche war chief Buffalo Hump (Wes Studi), and Mexican bandit king Ahumado (Sal Lopez). Now, Call and McCrae are left on their own when Scull leaves them after his horse is stolen. More than a few problems await them on the personal as well as the professional front.

Lonesome Dove (1994)
Hailed as a masterpiece by critics and audiences alike, Lonesome Dove brings to life all the magnificent drama and romance of the West. Winner of seven Emmy Awards, and one of the highest rated miniseries in television history, this exciting re-creation of Larry McMurtry's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel captured the American pioneer spirit with its sweeping story and inspired performances. Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones and Anjelica Huston star in the tale of two former Texas Rangers who leave the South Texas town of Lonesome Dove on an epic 2500-mile cattle drive to the lush ranch country of Montana.

Return to Lonesome Dove (1993)
Captain Woodrow F. Call (Jon Voight), having just buried his friend Augustus McCrae near Lonesome Dove in Texas, plans to return to his ranch in Montana. In order to make the trip profitable he decides to take a herd of wild Mustangs and drive them north with the help of Gideon Walker (William Petersen) and Isom Pickett (Louis Gossett Jr.). Call sends word to Newt Dobbs (Rick Schroder) that he intends to meet him at the home of Clara Allen (Barbara Hershey) but Newt becomes involved in a bar fight that concludes with the death of two local men. Newt is to be hanged for the incident before he is rescued by a neighbor, Gregor Dunnigan (Oliver Reed). Newt is paroled into his custody and develops a close relationship with Gregor's young wife, Ferris Dunnigan (Reese Witherspoon). Call captures an outlaw named Cherokee Jack Jackson (Dennis Haysbert) and barely escapes with his life after Jack's gang rescues him. After his return to Montana, Call is upset to find Newt working for Dunnigan but Newt is determined to repay his debt to Call's neighbor. Newt becomes disillusioned with Dunnigan because of his campaign to drive the other ranchers of the region out of business.

Streets of Laredo (1995)
Captain Woodrow Call, now retired from the Rangers, is a bounty hunter. He is hired by an eastern rail baron to track down Joey Garza, a new kind of killer, only a boy, who kills from a distance with a rifle. Joined by his old compadre Pea Eye, it is a long ride to south Texas and the Mexican side of the border, where the past, in the form of Maria Garza, Joey's mother, haunts Call.
