Synopsis:

DI Pat North investigates the case of a woman abducted in broad daylight, but a sudden murder confession leaves the squad with more questions than answers. A mother, walking her dog, accompanied by her two daughters, is abducted by a long-haired man in a nearby woods. The daughters see the man and their mother struggling; the mother tells them to run. Walker is put on the case; meanwhile, Walker's ex-wife has a new boyfriend.

The tooth of the abducted woman is found in the debris from a wood chipper. Meanwhile, Walker's ex-wife's boyfriend turns psychotic.
