Synopsis:
Season 3 of this revelatory drama will pull apart and look at just how the generations separate from one another and how the ties of family are stretched. Ally sheds some of love's illusions and begins to see life possibilities beyond her family and Gabriel. Both Romeo and Gigi need her less than she'd imagined, but in different ways, as they build their own lives. When Max moves away, Christine flirts with a parallel life at odds with all previous certainties. Gabriel learns his love for Ally is founded in her unavailability and is finally set free. Nat's chaos is the one constant.

Episode 1
Ally has moved her family to a rambling old rental property by the sea. Her financial need to return to the workforce prompts a surprising offer from Joe, which brings to question what Ally wants from him and from Gabriel. Christine's fear that her family is dissolving is confirmed when Max announces he's moving in with Nat. Romeo shares Charlotte's distressing secret and Gigi enjoys having a half-sister in Ophelia.

Episode 2
Ally surprises Gabriel at work and is convinced that they can put their rocky past behind them. At home, she begins to see Joe in a new light, but her attempts to host a family dinner are interrupted by an unwelcome guest. A visit from a party heavyweight tempts Christine into a future in politics, and the past comes calling for Nat with the delivery of a mysterious bunch of flowers.

Episode 3
Ally finds herself caught in the cross-fire of competing desires between two men, while Nat becomes the target of a charm offensive from her old flame, Chub. As Christine kicks off her political career, she struggles to regain the confidence of Max, who finds solace from his family at the rowing club. Meanwhile, Romeo begins a dangerous campaign against a student from a rival school, only to find himself in trouble with the law.

Episode 4
Ally attends a series of job interviews and discovers that the workforce isn't quite as she remembered. Back at home, she's pushed by Joe to define their relationship, leaving Gabriel to seek comfort from an unexpected confidante. Christine gets her political hands dirty when she forces some manoeuvring within the party, and while Romeo continues to fuel an inter-school gang war, Gigi explores her awakening sexuality via a character role in the school play.

Episode 5
Ally settles into her new job but back home, things aren't so smooth, as Joe reacts badly to her thoughts about their relationship. While voters cast their ballots, Christine is rocked by some shocking news. Max attempts to balance his family relationships and prepare for a rowing competition, while Nat spends a night in with Chub celebrating an exciting new job offer.

Episode 6
Ally and Gabriel try to find their feet as a couple, but Ally wonders if their happiness is built on unstable foundations. Although her political career is thriving, Christine's grip on Max loosens and he unwittingly becomes the prize in an emotional tug-of-war. Romeo learns that he has made a dangerous error in judgment, while Gigi's big performance night is more memorable than she anticipated.
