Synopsis:

Philipp wants to study photography. Wiebke wants a relationship. Jessica wants everything to change and Maria wants everything to stay the same. Swantje wants to know the truth. Michael doesn't know what he wants and Thomas doesn't want anything. They're all friends. They all want to move. All the time. The four seasons come and go and by the time the year is over they will all not just have at least one move behind them, they will have learned a lot about themselves and the world.

Eight friends help each other moving. Again and again, over the course of a whole year, across Berlin and across Germany. Relationships break apart, new love blossoms, sometimes love blossoms only on one side, and sometimes even the parents don't have a clue. But even if families fall apart, old bonds break and new bonds are forged - in the end there's always a couple of people who won't fetch you the stars from the sky and won't reveal you the meaning of life, but will help you to carry your stuff up to the fourth floor. Because life is moving, and so is this film.
