Synopsis:
Santiago Ramón y Cajal (1852-1934): Nobody imagined that Santiago, mischievous child, curious and creative, born in a small village in the middle of Aragon Navarre, would become the first Spanish Nobel Prize laureate in 1906. Scientific deeply intuitive and worker, artist, philosopher, photographer, writer ... a complete man that drove the development of Spanish science beyond its natural boundaries. Studies of Ramon y Cajal contributed much more definitive than those of any of the researchers of his era to create the necessary scientific atmosphere for the birth of modern neuroscience. His research on the nervous system microorganization, masterful interpretation of the histological preparations and his theories of degeneration, regeneration and plasticity, have provided the intellectual backbone of our current studies on the structure and function of the brain in normal and pathological conditions. This documentary, educational content, has been produced on the centenary of the Nobel Prize to Ramon y Cajal with the idea of ??recreating the scientific findings, illustrate animation techniques and simple explanations. It also includes an intense and entertaining tour of the main moments of his life and interviews with distinguished scientists and international experts in its work ..
