Synopsis:

Wild Strawberries (2011)
Violette lives in the country with her parents, wealthy Picardie land owners. Gabriel works as a cashier in a supermarket. On the face of it, both of these two young people appear to have led ordinary lives without incident, and yet they both have dark secrets and a yearning to escape from their stifling present reality. Their chance meeting will set them free, but with unexpected consequences...
Modern Comforts (2000)
Irène (Nathalie Richard) is an ordinary married woman living in Amiens, in the North of France. She works in a bank where, one day, she finds herself duty-bound to strip a client of her credit card and check book for ten years… but strange things begin to happen following this.

Violette lives in the heart of the French countryside with her parents, who are rich farm owners. Gabriel works at a supermarket checkout. These two inconspicuous characters may appear to have little history, but they are suffocating in their daily lives, and both hide dark secrets. From hesitant meetings to chance encounters, in the course of the seasons they will travel an unpredictable path as they seek to break free of their chains… and resort to radical solutions.
Modern Comforts (2000)
A woman finds her personality taking an abrupt about-face in this comedy-drama from France. Irene (Nathalie Richard) is a bank executive who enforces fiduciary regulations with a ruthless, to-the-letter strictness. Irene notices a homeless woman wandering around Paris in a yellow raincoat; one day, while walking home from a party, the same woman attacks Irene, and she falls unconscious for 48 hours. Once she's recovered a few days later, Irene learns that the woman who attacked her was stabbed to death in the park; curious about this turn of events, Irene goes to the morgue to see the body, where she bumps into Rosa (Valerie Mairesse), a bohemian who has a small apartment overlooking the park and who occasionally checks on unidentified bodies in hopes of finding her missing sister. Since the mugging, Irene hasn't been able to relate to her husband and children, and she decides to move in with Rosa, embracing her carefree lifestyle. Confort Moderne also stars Jean-Jacques Vanier as Irene's husband Alain and Jean-Michel Noirey as Murat.
