Synopsis:
From notorious Australian rebel filmmaker Richard Wolstencroft comes a tale of a trust fund twenty something Anthony Patch (Ross Ditcham) a receiver of a weekly allowance from his rich grandfather (Norman Yemm) living a decadent life of sex, booze and drugs with his glamorous party girlfriend Gloria Gilbert (Kristen Condon). Anthony's ruse to Gramps is that he is writing a novel - when REALLY he is partying nonstop with his hedonistic Gloria and waiting for the old man to die so that they can get his hands on the family loot. Adapted from the famous F. Scott Fitzgerald Jazz Age novel and updated to the glitzy sleaze of modern Melbourne, The Beautiful and Damned is a giddy ride down a ONE way trip of excess and debauch. Featuring a top supporting cast including John Brumpton, Paul Moder and Zen Ledden and cameos from Indy music celebs like Alex Spalck (Pankow), Peter Christopherson (Throbbing Gristle/Coil), Brian Canham (Pseudo Echo) and Cheyne Coates (Madison Avenue). The lifestyle of Generation Now and Y is fully exposed, exploded and explored here. Fitzgerald's guilty parable of excess is as relevant now as ever - and the scars still run deep. See the OTHER and FIRST F. Scott Fitzgerald movie shot down under!

A trust fund baby who receives a weekly allowance from his grandfather for participating in society lives a decadent life of sex, booze and drugs. Anthony's ruse is that he is writing a book on WW2 heroes when he is really partying nonstop with his hedonistic wife and waiting for the old man to die so that he can get his hands on the family fortune. Adapted from F. Scott Fitzgerald's Jazz Age novel and updated to the debauchery of modern Melbourne, The Beautiful and the Damned is a giddy ride down the boulevard of broken dreams. The lifestyle is superficial but the scars run deep.

Twenty something trust fund kid Anthony Patch and his party girl wife Gloria Gilbert are disinherited by their wealthy benefactor grandfather and their lives spiral out of control in a blizzard of drugs, sex and eventual violence. Based on the novel by F.Scott Fitzgerald.
