Synopsis:

Jerry and Pat are a pair of con men who make money by buying life insurance policies off of the terminally ill. Unfortunately, business has been bad due to a number of clients who have outlived expectations. When the pair meet Barbara (McGillis), a beautiful and ill woman, the three of them and the Russian mob get involved in deadly games and criss-crosses.

Comedy. Life in the medical insurance business is proving rather difficult for partners Pat and Jerry and their business, Viable Settlements Inc. Whereas in the 'eighties there were plenty of funerals for them to attend, come the 'nineties and an advance in medical treatments they find themselves on the road to bankruptcy.

Two con artists develop a scheme to make money off the life insurance policies of ill patients, until they are out-smarted by a woman with an inoperable brain tumour.
