Synopsis:
Based on a true story, this movie is great family fare. For their young daughters health a city dwellers family, (the Robinsons,)leave their modern life behind for the wide open spaces and pristine beauty of an old mining camp in the Rockies. There are many adventures awaiting them with some adorable (and NOT so adorable) visitors including a gruff old mountain man named Boomer, whom they come to love like family. They adopt a pair of orphaned bear cubs as well as a pair of playful raccoons and a full grown bear. Pumas, bears, wolves and a windstorm are some of the dangers they face, including a serious threat to their young daughter's health.

Fed up with the congestion and allergies of Los Angeles life, a family of four forsakes the big city for an isolated cabin in the Rocky Mountains, in this 1975 film. Most of the adventures - good and scary - revolve around wildlife. Kids will get a kick out of the pet raccoon already in residence upon their arrival, the orphaned bear cubs who come to live with them, and the mountain lion cubs the kids bring home one day. But there is also an angry lioness, a menacing grizzly, and a pack of wolves who prove less than friendly.

Skip Robinson is a city-dwelling construction worker. His family is tired of the city and decides to move to the mountains with no plans to return due to the smog. After building their own cabin, they settle in to find out that their environment isn't always as peaceful as it may appear. A pack of wolves, an angry lioness, and a menacing grizzly bear harass the Robinsons, in their otherwise happy new home.
