Synopsis:
***ATTENTION***Mix of French & Arabic audio with English subtitles***French subtitles - Arabic audio parts only***This is no normal music documentary, even though the director Rahma Benhamou El Madani follows the standard routine of accompanying the band Gnawa Diffusion on their exhilarating concert tour of Europe and records the Trance music at the Sufi festival in Essaouira in emotional and moving pictures. For her, it is an attempt to bring together different identities. In doing so, she retraces her childhood memories: of her mother performing trance meditation to the music of the Gnawa.

Tagnawittude, a musical documentary by Rahma Benhamou El Madani. The Gnawa music based on the ex-group Gnawa Diffusion and the ritual of the Maghreb.
