Synopsis:

The Secret of the Ice Flower (2013)
Humbug's first attempt at doing magic is unsuccessful - he accidentally flings Great Grandpa's magic wand deep into the Valley of Green Peas, where he encounters Bogus, who changes his outlook on life. The two friends bring back another, much more potent, magic wand than the one Great Grandpa had been using his whole life. But when Humbug tries do magic a second time, something goes horribly awry, and he loses his Great Grandpa. Bogus' good mood inspires Humbug to reinvent the myth of his Great Grandpa and to in the end confront his own heritage to save Bogus and put on a magic show, the likes of which the Valley has never known!

The Lost Thing (2010)
A boy discovers a bizarre looking creature while out collecting bottle tops at the beach. Having guessed it is lost, he tries to find its owner or where it belongs, but is met with mute indifference from everyone else, who barely notice its presence, each unwilling to entertain this interruption to their daily lives. For reasons he does not explain, the boy empathises with the creature, and sets out to find a 'place' for it.

The first time Humbug tries his hands on magic, he accidentally shoots Grandpa's magic wand far into the valley of the little green peas, where he meets Bogus, who changes his perception of life. The two friends return with a different, and somewhat more magical wand, than the one Grandpa has used his entire life. But when Humbug tries to master the art of magic a second time, he looses his Grandpa in the act. Bogus' unfailing good spirits inspires Humbug to reinvent the myth of his Grandpa, and ultimately to fight his own heritage, to save Bogus, and give the valley a magical show they'll never forget!
