Synopsis:

Tale (17) leads a theatre group of teenagers, who are planning to set up a play by the famous Norwegian writer Jon Fosse. A professional actor, in the middle of a life crisis, agrees to direct them. With certain conditions. He decides to cast the local hero, a great soccer player and a fucking moron, as the main male actor. The group soon discovers that the directors ambitions make the teenagers lives a living hell.

A young theatre company has grown tired of fooling about in animal costumes and decides it's time for grown-up drama. They pick a play by Jon Fosse and choose as their mentor a nowadays severely alcoholic actor named Lars Nyqvist (Kristoffer Joner). The film is full of scenes where Fosse's script, full of insights about life, confronts the genuine naivety of the kids and the witty cynicism of the older actor. Eili Harboe is great as the ambitious Tale, who suddenly has to play against the guy she considers the world's biggest idiot.

Some teenagers are ambitiously setting up a famous Jon Fosse-play, and hires a well known actor to be instructor, going through life crises. He makes this hell for them all.
