Synopsis:

Legendary gunfighters Will Tenneray (Kirk Douglas) and Abe Cross (Johnny Cash) have never met until they both end up in the same Southwestern town. The locals hold their breath and wait for the fireworks to begin, but the two men find that they have a lot in common; both are tired of living up to their reputations, and realise that their being thrown together gives at least one of them a chance to make some money. Despite their growing friendship, the pair decide to put on the expected gunfight, charging tickets to anyone who wants to watch, with the winner taking all.

Two aging gunfighters in need of money come to an agreement to organize an actual showdown between them and sell tickets for it. The townsfolk is more than interested to see the "show".

The Clash of Titans! In Bajo Rio, they pay to see a man kill a bull. Today, they'll pay to see a man kill another man. Two long-in-tooth gunfighters agree to a winner-take-all showdown.
