Synopsis:
As 60 year-old Godfrey Spry stands outside the post office, a wheelbarrow full of building rubble falls on him, leaving him with a 30 second attention span- the exact length of the average TV commercial. Landing in the lap of his nephew, Gordon, advertising becomes reality for Godfrey as the wheelchair-bound advert watcher swallows every public service broadcast literally, and blindly follows every debt-including call to buy.

Richard Briers (The Good Life) plays Godfrey Spry, who, having been hit on the head in a freak accident, ends up with an attention span of just 30 seconds. As a result he begins to obsess over TV commercials and begins to take advertising claims literally, causing erratic twists in his behaviour and complicating the lives of all those around him. Darkly funny writing from Andrew Marshall (2 Point 4 Children) and David Renwick (One Foot in the Grave) satirising the advertising industry creates a black comedy a million miles away from the typical Richard Briers sitcom.
