After an accident with one of Gerald's dogs and avoiding being caught by the oriental housekeeper they fill a suit-case full of spoils and are about to escape when they find that Gerald has accidentally killed his wife. More mayhem ensues after the arrival of the supposedly deaf mute cleaning product salesman Paul.

Tom is a teacher with aspirations to be a writer. Whilst his actress girlfriend Gerri is away on tour he gets a visit from Migg, a homeless man returning his wallet, and invites him for a drink. To Gerri's annoyance Migg encourages Tom to jack in his job to concentrate on his writing and, as she moves out, Migg moves in. The two men live a lazy, unhygienic life-style with cleanliness and washing up secondary to creative discussions. Then Tom's work colleague Stevie arrives, with some disturbing news.
