Synopsis:
The documentary film "The instinct of resistance" shows the phenomenon of resilience emerged in the lives of movie producer, Serge Silberman, the playwright Armand Gatti, journalist and writer Pierre Daix and diplomat-writer Stephane Hesselafter passing through the concentration camps. How these four characters, which in 1945 were reduced to a skeleton, have they done to leave behind, 60 years later, a work so large? Everyone who had an experience and a different trajectory, interviews as well plunge us into the Warsaw ghetto with Serge Silberman at headquarters of General de Gaulle in London with Stéphane Hessel, Limousin in the bush with Armand Gatti and with Pierre Daix, in the first group of young resistance fighters in Paris before the end of the Germano-Soviet pact...

How did these four people, who in 1945 had just come out of the horrors of war, manage to leave behind them such major works sixty years later? Each of them had a different experience and trajectory: we go to the Warsaw ghetto with Serge Silberman, to General de Gaulles' HQ in London with Stéphane Hessel, to the Limousin maquis with Armand Gatti, and to the first group of young resistance fighters in Paris with Pierre Daix.
