Synopsis:
All thirteen episodes from the first and second series of the BBC mockumentary comedy following the trials and tribulations of the team responsible for staging the 2012 London Olympic Games. Narrator David Tennant guides the audience through events as Head of Deliverance Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville) and his support team, including PR operative Siobhan Sharpe (Jessica Hynes), Head of Sustainability Kay Hope (Amelia Bullmore) and straight-talking Yorkshire man Nick Jowett (Vincent Franklin), take charge of a £9 billion budget. In the first series, the team must somehow keep the event on track as they face confronting challenges including horse dung oriented protests, what on earth to do with the Taekwondo hall after the games and sports stars with a desire to help but absolutely no personality. In the second series, the team have to deal with a dispute over the Shared Belief Centre when both Algeria and France threaten to withdraw from the Olympics.

Season 1
Episode #1.1 S1, Ep1 14 Mar. 2011
Will website designer Barney Lumsden learn to spell in time for the website re-launch on 1000 day and the unveiling of the countdown clock?
Episode #1.2 S1, Ep2 21 Mar. 2011
A visiting group of dignitaries from Rio is in London for the week.
Episode #1.3 S1, Ep3 28 Mar. 2011
The discovery of ancient Roman remains near the Aquatics Centre forces design modifications of the building.
Episode #1.4 S1, Ep4 4 Apr. 2011
Siobhan launches her Raising the Bar campaign to interest school children in the games through lectures by former silver medallist Dave Wellbeck. Sadly Dave is a truly hopeless public speaker and Siobhan sends him to gain inspiration from ex-actor Jason Topper. He does not improve though and ends up giving lectures in retirement homes instead. Kay stands firm against opposition to her retaining a wind turbine on site.
Episode #1.5 S1, Ep5 11 Apr. 2011
Ian and his team interview candidates for the post of curator of the cultural Olympiad. They make their choice out of the three pseuds short-listed but,due to political correctness, they are told to alter their decision, not once but twice. They are also required to run in the London Marathon.which leaves Siobhan on crutches,Kay with chafed nipples and Ian with a fit of flatulence though - as his marriage crumbles - he does get to go on a date with Sally.
Episode #1.6 S1, Ep6 18 Apr. 2011
Tony Ward,an eccentric,foul-mouthed film director, launches a one man protest against the equestrian events being held in Greenwich Park by dumping horse manure,at first outside Ian's office and then outside his house, which does little for his fractured relationship with his wife. Nor does Sally buying him new clothes after his wife has locked him out help. Kay does her bit for ecology by trying to save the stag beetle but Ian ends up in a live radio broadcast with Ward, which is ended before any points can be made. The equestrian events are approved but Ian ends up ...
Season 2
Boycott: Part 1 S2, Ep1 30 Mar. 2012
The team faces a crisis when Dr Benhamadi, head of the Algerian contingent, notices that the Shared Belief Centre does not face Mecca and threatens a boycott unless a new mosque is built. This angers the French athletes who are against concessions to Algeria but gathers support from other Islamic countries. Despite problems moving into his new flat and welcoming incoming staff member Fi Healey, head of legacy, Ian goes to the Foreign office for a video link-up with Benhamadi to rectify matters. Unfortunately he is let down by a series of technical malfunctions.
Boycott: Part 2 S2, Ep2 6 Apr. 2012
A compromise seems to be reached when Nick suggests turning the Mecca-facing laundry building into the new mosque and Ian, accompanied by the annoying Siobhan and her unhelpful Christian PR friend, Reverend Richard Salter, puts this to Saleem Ahmed of the Muslim Focus UK group. Saleem however believes that a minaret would solve matters and thankfully architect Mike Whittaker is able to fashion one out of a roof-top heating duct. The crisis is averted and Ian finally gets the keys to his flat but offends Sally in the process.
Clarence House S2, Ep3 13 Apr. 2012
Whilst the current problem for the team is the amount of toilets per athlete they must also decide the fate of the stadium post-games. Kay is all for a permanent running track but then West Ham and Spurs begin a bidding war for a new ground. A call from Prince Charles' team at Clarence House to link his mother's half century on the throne with the games yields the snappy term Jubilympics but Clarence House reject it as too backward looking, plumping instead for Jubilee 2012. The prince also comes in handy in choosing which soccer team should buy the stadium - until ...
The Rapper S2, Ep4 20 Apr. 2012
The team needs to rely on Juiced,an American condom firm, to sponsor a statue on the site, which involves a sexual health campaign to publicise the company. Siobhan suggests a rapper perform a song celebrating contraception but this antagonises Roman Catholic countries and has to be cancelled. Fortunately office junior Daniel has an alternative suggestion. Less successful is the planning of the journey of the Olympic torch, which involves putting existing towns into other counties.
Catastrophisation S2, Ep5 10 Jul. 2012
With a month to go before the games, Ian holds a staff meeting which, of course, accomplishes little. Kay tries unsuccessfully to sell the stadium to Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club whilst Siobhan, with her usual incompetence, suggests rebranding the travel advice guide so that pedestrians can choose their own pavements. Following the confiscation of a starting pistol containing live bullets, Ian meets with police top brass, but, during a demonstration of safety pistols for visiting American security officers, gets shot in the foot.
Inclusivity Day S2, Ep6 17 Jul. 2012
As Ian recovers in hospital his P.A. Daniel announces that he is leaving to work for Sebastian Coe,though fortunately he has recruited a highly efficient replacement - Sally. In fact she is the only member of the team to understand what is meant by Inclusivity Day,when Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson and Women's Football captain Carey Taylor - whose unpopular sport Siobhan has been trying to sell in the trendiest way - will plant an oak tree. Fi manages to win over a grumpy trust manager to allow the planting but,as everybody has forgotten to bring the acorn, they have...
Loose Ends S2, Ep7 24 Jul. 2012
At an eleventh hour meeting Kay faces opposition to her plan to have more electric cars than athletes whilst Ian discovers that the planned firework display could potentially set off ground-to-earth missiles. Kay,Fi and Ian are all unsuccessful in their applications to become post-games Director of Posterity whilst guest judge Aled Jones is bemused by the eccentrics paraded before him in Siobhan's bell-ringing contest the Big Bong. After Ian has solved the display problem by using virtual fireworks the team disbands with Ian and Sally going on holiday to Italy but Ian...
