Synopsis:
High class and high mystery is the world of suave, Polish-American Thomas Banacek (George Peppard - Breakfast at Tiffany's, The A-Team), Boston's leading insurance investigator. Banacek is called in to investigate the most baffling and ingenious of crimes which have exhausted the minds of all others. Using logic and with the aid of his chauffeur, his chess-playing associate and a bevy of beautiful women, Banacek launches intricate investigations to reveal, like a magician, the solution to inexplainable crimes. This 4 DVD set includes all 8 feature-length episodes from the second and final season of Banacek featuring guest apprances from: ANNE BAXTER (Hotel), LINDA EVANS (Dynasty), VICTORIA PRINCIPAL (Dallas), CESAR ROMERO (Batman), DON STROUD (Coogan s Bluff), DICK GAUTIER (Get Smart).

Banacek is a Boston Brahmin who maintains his lifestyle by locating or recovering stolen or missing items that were stolen in an extraordinary or peculiar manner, for insurance companies for 10% of their insured value. He is assisted by his friend, Felix. He is also not liked by Henry Dewitt, the insurance company rep who doesn't like being beholden to him. And during the second season, he had a rival-love interest in Carlie Kirkland, an insurance investigator who works for DeWitt.

Working, and competing, with a Boston Insurance Company colleague, Banacek has only two days to find the statue and collect his fee.
