Beethoven (1992)
Barely escaping from nefarious dognappers, an adorable puppy named Beethoven adopts the unsuspecting Newton family and promptly grows up into 185 pounds of romping, drooling, disaster-prone St. Bernard! Unfortunately, even after proving his canine credentials to mom and the kids, the heroic hound gets nowhere with uptight dad, George. But when a beastly veterinarian makes Beethoven the target of an unspeakable animal experiment, George becomes the only hope for saving the Newton's furriest family member.
Beethoven's 2nd (1993)
The Newtons, helmed by George (Charles Grodin) and Alice (Bonnie Hunt), are in for another St. Bernard adventure when their dog, Beethoven, falls in love with fellow canine Missy and makes a family of his own. But instead of being one big happy family, Missy's owner, Regina (Debi Mazar), wants to sell off the puppies to make a huge profit. Springing into action, the Newton kids rescue the little dogs before Regina can make her deal -- but she is determined to get them back.
Beethoven's 3rd (2000)*No English subtitles*
The Newton family from the original Beethoven movies are on vacation in Europe but do plan to join a Newton family reunion and to make sure one of their family members definitely makes it, they ship him to travel to the reunion with George Newton's brother Richard. Guess which family member it was? That's right, Beethoven! The giant mutt follows Richard Newton and his family of a nagging wife and two bratty kids as they hit the road to California in a huge, shiny - and expensive RV, equipped with a DVD player. Following them are two bumbling crooks who have hidden some secret codes on a DVD that they figure no one in the world will buy, but someone does: Richard. So now they've got a DVD holding top secret information and the crooks must get it back...
Beethoven's 4th (2001)
Beethoven, a havoc-causing Saint Bernard, tries the patience of his owners, the Newton family, and is surreptitiously sent to dog obedience school by children Brennan (Joe Pichler) and Sara (Michaela Gallo). After Beethoven gets loose during a walk, he changes place with Michelangelo, an identical-looking dog with impeccable manners who belongs to the snobbish Sedgewick family. Both households are utterly baffled by the switch, and order won't be restored until the mistake is rectified.
Beethoven's 5th (2003)
Sara Newton (Daveigh Chase) goes on a summer trip to visit her uncle, Freddy (Dave Thomas), who resides in a small mining town. Accompanying Sara is her mischievous St. Bernard, Beethoven, with whom she and her family have enjoyed an abundance of adventures. When Beethoven discovers a clue that might lead to buried treasure, the eccentric locals embark on a treasure hunt, a few ghosts make an appearance and chaos consumes the normally peaceful little town.
Beethoven's Big Break (2008)
Eddie Bob (Jonathan Silverman) is a widowed single father who provides for his mischievous son, Billy Bob (Moises Arias), by working as an animal wrangler for film and television. After some loathsome kidnappers capture the dog star of his new film, Eddie is left to wrangle a truly unruly actor: a rambunctious St. Bernard that his son found on the streets and named Beethoven. While trying to keep the pooch on a short leash, Eddie learns that Beethoven has a trouble-making brood of his own.
Beethoven's Christmas Adventure (2011)
A Christmas elf accidentally takes off in Santa's sleigh, crash lands in a small town, and loses the magic toy bag. Beethoven must rescue the elf, recover the bag from greedy crooks, and return the sleigh to Santa in time to save Christmas.
Beethoven's Treasure Tail (2014)
Get ready to howl with laughter in this all-new family comedy starring America's favorite St. Bernard, the one and only Beethoven! After a doggone disaster of a movie shoot, the big-hearted pooch and his trainer, Eddie (Jonathan Silverman, Beethoven's Big Break), are heading home when they get stranded in a small coastal village. When Beethoven befriends a local boy (Bretton Manley), he helps him find a pirate map to lost treasure and together they em-bark on an adventure that brings the whole town together. Co-starring Morgan Fairchild (Flamingo Road), Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Bretton Manley (Ted), and Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), it's a heartwarming "tail" about finding fun wherever your nose leads you.
