Synopsis:

After being acquitted of treason through his dealings with a treacherous rebel leader in Iraq, a young British officer, Lieutenant Brent, returns to the region, joining a battalion whose purpose is to safeguard a vital convey route to India. Brent is surprised to discover his former lover Joyce at the garrison where he is stationed, and even more surprised when he learns that she is now the wife of his commanding officer, Colonel Stark. When a volunteer is needed to lead an assault on a nearby rebel fortress, Brent and his fellow officers allow Joyce to decide their fate by drawing cards. Brent is selected for the dangerous mission, but Joyce's brother Dan Grant takes his place for the honour of his sister. When this deception is uncovered, Brent is suspected of being a spy for the enemy. He will have one last chance to redeem himself...

After spending three years in under-cover activities in the region, Lieutenant Brent, a British officer, joins the garrison in Iraq commanded by Colonel Stark, but is embarrassed to meet there his former lover, Joyce, who is now the colonel's wife.
