Synopsis:

From the creator of the hit series BONES comes the spin off series THE FINDER, a quirky new show centering on a remarkable man with an eccentric personality and a unique gift to help others recover what they have lost. Iraq war veteran Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults) gained a reputation in his army days as being the go-to-guy for tracking down insurgents and deserters and finding improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Unfortunately one IED found Walter before he could find it, resulting in severe brain damage with a lasting and unexpected effect. Walter's brother-in arms Leo Knox (Michael Clarke Duncan) is a philosopher as well as Walter's legal adviser and keeps a close eye on unruly teenager Willa Monday (Maddie Hasson). Walter has an on-again off-again relationship with Deputy U.S Marshal Isabel Zambada (Mercedes Mason), a beautiful and focused cop-on-the rise who is using her career in law enforcement to climb to the top of the heap in life. Thanks to the help and guidance of Leo, as well as a patchwork of indebted connections, he ultimately finds meaning in his own life by finding someone or something other people have lost.

Walter Sherman is an Iraq war veteran who has suffered brain damage in an IED explosion. The brain damage triggers in Walter the ability to "find" things, he sees connections between seemingly unrelated events, objects or people that other investigators would miss. Walter is assisted by his "legal advisor" and bar owner Leo Knox, US Deputy Marshal Isabel Zambada, and teen parolee and thief Willa Monday, who is serving her probation with the team. The brain damage that gives Walter his "finder" talent has also left him with a case of paranoia and other mental idiosyncrasies. Walter refuses treatment because he does not want to lose his talent. The last time Walter failed to find someone, it was the IED explosive expert that was responsible for blowing up Walter's Humvee and killing 6 members of his unit.
