Synopsis:

The complete second series of the early 1980s TV drama focusing on two families returning to normal life after WWII. In 1948, people are slowly re-adjusting to life after the war. Owners of the local ironworks, the wealthy Warrington family face an uncertain future when they learn of Labour's plans to nationalise the industry. Meanwhile, the working-class Haywards find their opportunities opening up as old class barriers begin to fall away.

The second series of the ITV drama, The Spoils Of War follows the fortunes of two north country families, the Haywards and the Warringtons, in post war Britain. Originally broadcast on ITV in 1981, the series stars Alan Hunter (Dangerfield), James Bate (Auf Wiedersehen, Pet), Ian Hastings (Prime Suspect), Malcolm Tierney (Dalziel and Pascoe) and Madeleine Newton (When the Boat Comes In) and was written by John Finch (A Family at War).
