Synopsis:
Bob Hoskins is Moony, an over-weight, out-of-shape, narrow-minded vice cop who's in love with a hooker named Crystal (Chloe Webb). Denzel Washington is Stone, a slick urban lawyer who's defending Crystal. Moony hates Stone. But when Moony suffers a heart attack and Stone dies suddenly in a car accident, the two become closer than they ever dreamed possible--Stone's heart is transplanted into Moony's body! And if that wasn't bad enough, Stone comes back from the dead to haunt Moony with a story about how he was really murdered by drug dealers--and now they're after Crystal. And he'll keep on haunting him until they solve his murder together!

In Los Angeles, the call girls Crystal Gerrity and Peisha are partying with the prominent Senator Marquand that has an overdose. Crystal keeps the film with the photos she had taken and together with Peisha, she meets the lawyer Napoleon Stone that is her boyfriend. Meanwhile the racist and bigoted cop Jack Moony sees Stone in his car with Crystal, who was his girlfriend, and chases him despite the protest of his partner Harry Zara that wants to be promoted to detective. However Jack has a heart attack but is saved by the heart of Stone, who had a car accident. Out of the blue, Jack sees the ghost of Stone that tells him that he was murdered. Jack is forced to team-up with Stone to investigate who killed him. But no one else can see Stone but him.

Jack Moony, a white cop, has it in for a black lawyer to the drug crowd, Napoleon Stone. That Stone is now dating his ex-girlfriend doesn't help matters at all. Stone is shot after Moony suffers a heart attack and wakes to find that he not only has a new heart, but that it is Stone's and that Stone's ghost is now his constant companion. Stone is insistent that Moony not only take care of his heart now but that Moony solve his murder.
