Synopsis:
Some of the most frightening films ever made involved shadowy figures wandering lonely streets attacking innocent victims and dragging them off into the foggy night. Crimes at the Dark House (1940)
A madman kills a man who has just inherited a large estate, then impersonates his victim to gain entrance to the estate so he can murder his enemies.
House of Danger (1934)
To protect a young woman's life, a man pretends to be her injured friend so he can investigate a murder and capture the killers.
Midnight Phantom (1935)
A newly hired police chief vows to clean up a notoriously corrupt police department. When he is murdered, investigators find that there is no shortage of suspects, most of them being fellow cops.
