Synopsis:

Adored by his fans, successful comic Manny Lewis (Carl Barron) finds himself at the height of his popularity, but at the depths of his loneliness. Disenchanted with life and himself, he feels he can't trust anyone with matters of the heart. Until one day by chance he meets the beautiful and complex Maria. With his fame skyrocketing and the temptation of overseas riches in America beckoning, Manny must choose between taking a risk on love, or retreating to the confines of his lonely but lucrative career.

The film follows the story of a famous fictional stand-up comedian Manny Lewis, who connects with millions of fans but finds it hard to connect to one person. Manny struggles to overcome his sense of alienation and shyness, and a difficult relationship with his father, in a romantic and feel-good quest for the love of the quirky Maria.
