Synopsis:

John Embling (Lewis Fitz-Gerald, I Can Jump Puddles, Breaker Morant) is a dedicated teacher trying to make a difference in the world of education. Surrounded by struggling students from a working-class suburb, his job is challenged by a daily routine of unruly tempers, abusive language, violent threats and the alarming influence of drugs and crime on the adolescents under his charge. Teenager Tom (Paul Smith, The Henderson Kids, Hey Dad!) is one such student, catching John's attention for all the wrong reasons. But with perseverance comes understanding and, given half a chance, Tom just might learn something from his teacher that will turn his attitude around and give him a new outlook on life.
