Synopsis:
Contemplative and reverent, the film highlights the absolute humility of an unknown community, which turned its environmental dedication into a religion. Through the fate of a tree planter, of a family taking care of an orphan fawn and a man fighting against plastic pollution, directors Franck Vogel and Benoi?t Se?gur are giving a voice to the Bishnois of Rajasthan in India. The documentary will question the human ability to measure the adverse effects of its environmental footprint, and invites the viewers to meditate on their own actions.

For over five centuries, the Bishnoi community has been living in harmony with nature and wildlife in India. With the intention to inspire people by their philosophy, I decided to spread their message worldwide via a documentary film, books, conferences and exhibitions. I also support Bishnoi Khamu Ram's fight against plastic pollution. In 2008, during his visit in France, Khamu Ram was inspired by Paris's public trashcans and decided to make his own in India. We are currently seeking sponsors to fund the creation of mobile recycling centers in India.

The film presents the story of the Bishnois of Rajasthan (India), ecologists since the 15th century, through 3 different characters: Khamu Ram Bishnoi, who fights against plastic pollution, Rana Ram Bishnoi, who planted over 22 000 trees in the desert, and Ranveer Bishnoi, who wants to become a priest.
