Synopsis:

O is a talented photographer in her late twenties with a promising career before her. She is torn, however, between the financial realities of her work and her own artistic aims. Encouraged by her boyfriend Rene, O decides that she should pursue her dream to complete a book of avant garde images, and put aside the ladder-climbing tasks of a professional career. In the hopes of enabling O to focus her energies on the book, Rene introduces her to a mysterious benefactor, the wealthy and powerful Stephen. Under his guidance, O is free to explore her own art, and slowly she unlocks the pleasures and pain of Stephens secret desires A sexy remake of the classic tale of lust and adventure.

"O" is a talented photographer in her late twenties with a promising career ahead of her. She is torn, however, between the tasks financial realities are forcing upon her and between her own artistic aims. Encouraged by her boyfriend, Rene, "O" decides that she should pursue her artistic passion without reservation, setting aside financial realities until she has completed her very beautiful, avant-garde book of original photos. In hopes of enabling "O" to focus her energies on the book, Rene introduces her to a mysterious benefactor, the wealthy and powerful Sir Stephen. What starts out as a promising arrangement, turns out to be self-destructive for "O". She allows outside influences to corrupt her artistic vision, as she is drawn into a seductive world of deceit, power, and eroticism.

After being initiated into the ways of sadistic relationships - receiving basic training in the rules of submission, with special emphasis on Being Chained and Being Whipped - a young woman named 'O' finds herself much in demand. This infamous slice of soft-core art-porn was refused certification when originally submitted to the British Film Censors in the mid 1970s but was eventually passed uncut.
