Synopsis:
Billy Blazes, Esq.: In the Old West, there is general lawlessness in the Prairie mining town of Peaceful Vale in Rattlefire County due to the ineffectiveness of Sheriff 'Gun Shy' Gallagher… A Sailor-Made Man: When The Girl's father insists that, before he will agree to The Boy's marrying his daughter, he must first prove that he can do something more worthwhile than act the playboy. He joins the navy... Dr. Jack: Country Doctor, Jack Jackson is called in to treat the Sick-Little-Well-Girl, who has been making Dr. Saulsbourg and is sanitarium very rich, after years of unsuccessful treatment. His old-fashioned methods do the trick and the quack is sent packing. Safety Last!: In 1922, the country boy Harold says goodbye to his mother and his girlfriend Mildred in the train station and leaves Great Bend expecting to be successful in the big city. Harold promises to Mildred to get married with her as soon as he 'make good'. Harold shares a room with his friend 'Limpy' Bill and he finally gets a job as salesman in the De Vore Department Store... Girl Shy: Harold Meadows (Lloyd) is a shy, stuttering bachelor working in a tailor shop, who is writing a guide book for other bashful young men, 'The Secret of Making Love,' chapters from which are portrayed as fantasy sequences. Fate has him meet rich girl, Mary (Ralston), and they fall in love. But she is about to wed an already married man, so our hero embarks upon a hair-raising daredevil ride to prevent the wedding.
