Synopsis:

Europe at its best. Those who live and live there every day may not always think about it, but Europe is a fantastically beautiful continent. With 740 million people relatively densely populated, but nevertheless rich in different landscapes and animal and plant species. The unique photography project Wild Wonders of Europe - supported by the World Wildlife Fund, National Geographic Society, Nikon, Epson and Nokia - sent 69 of the best nature photographers on an expedition to all corners of Europe. From the North Cape to Gibraltar: all 48 countries in Europe are captured razor-sharp in beautiful photos. The enthusiasm of the photographers was apparently infectious, because an outdoor exhibition related to the project in The Hague attracted no less than 1 million visitors. Perhaps best of all, during the implementation of the project, it was proven beyond doubt that European nature is making a remarkable comeback. We also see this happening in our own country; it is not for nothing that a wolf has already been seen on the Veluwe and sea eagles are born every year in the Oostvaardersplassen. Especially in the Netherlands, European nature lives like never before!
