Synopsis:
When pensioner Tom Parfitt (Michael Palin) stages a fall in his eerie Yorkshire home in order to escape into residential care, a chilling and macabre mystery unfolds, which challenges weary police detective Rob Fairholme (Mark Addy) and teenage care worker Hannah Ward (Jodie Comer) to risk everything they hold dear to unravel the truth. A traumatic murder investigation, a ghostly haunting and a coming-of-age tale rolled into one, Remember Me takes the audience from the windswept Scarborough coast to the tragic recesses of 20th Century history. Written by Gwyneth Hughes (Five Days, The Girl) and directed by Ashley Pearce (Downton Abbey, the critically acclaimed Accused: Tracie's Story), this three-part drama is a dark and unforgettable voyage into the unknown.

Season 1
Episode #1.1 S1, Ep1 23 Nov. 2014
After faking a fall at his house elderly Tom Parfitt contrives to have himself admitted to a care home, telling neighbour Roshana not to visit. On his first day there care assistant Hannah finds him cowering in a corner clutching a torn photo and muttering "There was something missing" whilst the social worker who admitted him, Alison, has fallen to her death from a window. Sergeant Rob Fairholme investigates as Tom is taken to hospital and Hannah goes to his home to collect some belongings. She finds a wealth of old photos and numerous music sheets for the song ...
Episode #1.2 S1, Ep2 30 Nov. 2014
Tom absconds from the hospital and Hannah, who finds a shell in his room and has nightmares about drowning, believes he has gone to Scarborough. Rob is let into Tom's house by Roshana, where they find more shells, souvenirs of India and evidence that Tom has withdrawn five thousand pounds. Rob also learns that Tom's wife died from a fall from a window. Shirley, another care assistant, tells Rob she saw a ghost of a woman in Indian dress and Rob finds a picture of just such a woman. Later Shirley is found dead, and, as with Alison, it appears that she drowned, though ...
Episode #1.3 S1, Ep3 7 Dec. 2014
As Hannah and Sean flee the ghostly woman Rob deduces that she was Tom's ayah - nanny - in India in the 1900s and joins the siblings in Scarborough, where they find an unconscious Tom. He verifies that Isha was his nanny and always swore that she would care for him - even from beyond the grave after she drowned in a shipwreck. He has spent much of his life running from her. The party goes to see Loveday Hutton, sister of Tom's late wife, who believes that the ending of the song Scarborough Fair contained the means to lay the ghost.

The day Tom Parfitt moves from his home into residential care, he becomes the sole witness to a violent death.
