Synopsis:
A pretty hat seller (Margot Hielscher) is determined to go to the operetta; an operetta diva (Gisela Schmidting) who has migrated from the stage to middle-class life is asked to return on her knees by her former partner (Karl Schönböck), since a new Lincke opera can only be brought out with her, but to the good end he accepts in her place with the hat seller who is also talented for kissing and falling in love. Mady Rahl, Gustav Knuth and Hubert von Meyerinck as owners of the Ciapollini hat salon are causing further turbulence. From this framework, the well-known operetta melodies sprout: Beggar student, The Bird Merchant, The Bat, The Gypsy Baron and much more from masterpieces of the light muse.
