Synopsis:

Notes about Emigration: An investigation into the motives of Spanish workers who migrated to Switzerland in the late 50s, early 60s turns into a sometimes caustic, sometimes melancholic rumination on the land they left behind. A work in between cultures and cinematic modes, a starting point, an opening statement - a clarion call.. Around The Salines: Life seems to pass by on peacefully in a small village in Ibiza, as the old women dressed in their traditional black clothes are sewing and mending away. A French film director gives instructions to a beautiful young woman to pose in the right position with a smile. Let the film begin! A forceful male voiceover then starts to describe the more obvious characteristics of the island: type of people, location, demography, economic situation… Dante is Not Only Harsh: The impossible relationship between a man and a woman, but also the destruction of aesthetics. The girl wants to seduce her beloved with incoherent stories that he does not care at all. Through this relationship, the film projects the idea according to which it is impossible to tell a story. The project does not pursue the coherence of a well-told story, rather it demands to observe what is shown and to deepen the different facets of the characters. Its purpose is to lay the foundations of a certain pop aesthetic in a Spanish way, in which the images can not refer to the world but to the publicity that the world sells to us. After The Flood: A woman invades the privacy of two men living a secluded life in a forest on the Costa Brava. After becoming the mistress of one of them, she runs off to London with the other one but the two men meet up again and return together to Spain. Metamorfosis: A group of scientists transform a type of strange animal into a very beautiful woman programmed to behave in silence. The conditioning that the consumer society imposes on the individual, the slavery of bodies and spirits, and the ruthless lack of sensitivity of humans are condensed in this film shot in natural scenarios. Far from the Trees: A compilation, in the form of a black and white documentary, of very diverse aspects of Spanish regional folklore, formed by peculiar customs of a still underdeveloped and primitive Spain and in which many of these rituals are related to death. Marie's Sons: The action begins with a meaningless meeting in a decadent hotel. Then a couple leaves the meeting and heads to a room, where she expresses to her partner the desire to have a child.
