Synopsis:

Hungarian folk tales were majestically brought to life by animation master Marcell Jankovics, Oscar nominee in 1974 for Sisyphus and Palme d'Or winner at Cannes in 1977 for Struggle. These tales reflect the richness of Hungarian legends and their imagination. In this pastoral and wonderful world where magic comes to life, a hedgehog, like no other, seeks to marry the girl who can love him (The enchanted hedgehog). A young prince braves both the dragons and a little guy to retrieve the sun, moon and stars that have been stolen (Nicholas, the little king). Doves and a rooster help the beautiful Cinderella escape the grip of her evil stepmother (Cinderella). The magic nut that saves a poor man and his family is very dear to them (The Little Nut) and three young men are duped by the tricks of an old man (The Gold Coin and the Hat), but in the end luck smiles on them ...
