Synopsis:

Ray Winkler is a middle-aged New York ex-convict who comes up with an outrageous plan - to rent a former pizza parlour and dig a tunnel underneath the premises to the bank along the street. As a cover for the operation, Ray and his wife Frenchy open a sweets parlour, which unexpectedly turns out to be a big success. As a result, a year later Sunset Cookies stores are open all over the US and the Winklers are millionaires. Unfortunately for Ray, Frenchy gets ideas above her station and begins to move up the ladder of hish society, aided and abetted by David, an art dealer, who is being paid by Frenchy to educate her in the finer things of life. Meanwhile, the disgruntled Ray begins to spend more and more time with May, Frenchy's cousin.

Dishwasher and small-fry criminal Ray hits on a plan with his partners in crime to re-open a local pizza place and dig through to the bank down the street. As his wife can't cook pizza but does great cookies, that's what they sell. While the no-hope tunnellers get lost underground, the sweets operation really takes off and the team find themselves rich business people. But the other local money isn't quite ready to accept them.

Ray Winkler is a 'small time crook' with big dreams. Recruiting his wife and some fellow bumblers, he leaves his job as a dishwasher to open a sweets store next to a bank. And while his wife operates the sweets store, he and his cohorts work in the basement on breaking into the bank. Wealth comes from an unexpected direction, helping fulfill his dreams. But there is an ancient curse about getting everything you wish for.
