Synopsis:

Season 1: Crab fishing off the Alaskan coast on the icy Bering Sea is one of the world's most dangerous jobs. Follow one group of ambitious men as they battle harsh conditions and intense competition in the frenzied search for an undersea jackpot.
Season 2: Deadliest Catch Season 2 heads back to the heart of the hostile Bering Sea to follow the day-to-day lives of a unique breed of fishermen who risk life and limb, working themselves to the brink of exhaustion to haul their quota of crab as quickly as possible on three of the world's most dangerous fishing seasons.
Season 3: Discovery Channel's Emmy nominated season, Deadliest Catch, returns for an explosive third season of daring adventures on the high seas. Be prepared for a non-stop, action-packed, rollercoaster of a ride on board with the crews, as they do battle once more with the might of the infamous Bering Sea!
Season 4: Each year, hundreds of fishermen arrive at Dutch Harbour for the beginning of the Alaskan Red King crab and Opilio crab seasons. They work 24-hour shifts for days on end in brutal conditions. Whatever the take one thing is for certain, the men and their families will feel the effects for the rest of the year.
Season 5: The fleet will push hundreds of miles out to sea and fish four hundred feet deep in search of the prized crustaceans. The captains will strategise, and the crews will be pushed to their limits of mental and physical endurance as they repeatedly drop and haul the 700-pound crab pots.
Season 6: This year sees a fracture in the Bering Sea brotherhood. Old allies become mortal enemies and fishing turns personal. While some skippers rage against each other, another skipper fights a lone battle just to stay alive. Last season, eight men lost their lives to the Bering Sea. This year catastrophe strikes at the heart of one of our featured boats.
Season 7: This season, two new skippers, Elliott Neese and Scott Campbell, join the veteran fleet and battle lines are drawn. These cocky young skippers are determined to stake their claim to the Bering Sea crab bounty - but soon learn that 'old age and treachery' is a force to be reckoned with.
Season 8: Two skippers square off in a high stakes rivalry and the mysterious collapse of a deckhand summons a daring rescue at sea as an already vicious king crab season gets underway. A depleted fishery triggers restrictions that force captains to take huge gambles on remote and volatile fishing grounds to the far north while a violent arctic hurricane forecasters call 'The Storm of the Century' descends on the Bering Sea. The record-breaking weather continues in opilio season as the arctic ice freezes over the fishing grounds and chases over half the fleet to the safety of their homes. Deadliest Catch is a documentary/reality television series produced by Original Productions for the Discovery Channel. It portrays the real life events aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab and C. opilio crab fishing seasons. The Aleutian Islands port of Dutch Harbor, Unalaska, Alaska, is the base of operations for the fishing fleet. The show's name derives from the inherent high risk of injury or death associated with the work.
