Synopsis:

In late 30s America, young trucker Johnny Kovak (Sylvester Stallone) leads an uprising against his bosses after the local union rep is assassinated in a management-manipulated brawl. However, as the collective power of the truck workers grows over the next two decades, so does the influence of the mob, corrupting Kovak's ideals.

Johnny Kovak joins the Teamsters trade-union in a local chapter in the 1930s and works his way up in the organization. As he climbs higher and higher his methods become more ruthless and finally senator Madison starts a campaign to find the truth about the alleged connections with the Mob.

In this actioner, a pugnacious aspiring pugilist pummels his way out of the slums to become a professional prizefighter.
