Synopsis:

Before the frost: Tracking a sadistic killer, detective Kurt Wallander follows a string of incidents -- attacks on domestic animals, ritualistic murders of humans -- with help from his daughter, Linda, a new member of the Ystad police force. The city flag: A man armed with a bomb attempts to rob a bank. Things go wrong and the bomb goes off. Was it an accident or murder? Wallender and his team are unable to prevent another bomb going off and another death. Will they be able to prevent the next explosion and what does astrology have to do with each death? Brothers: Wallander interviews a couple about their stolen dog. The following day the couple are tortured and brutally murdered. Similar deaths follow and Wallander and his team have to find out whether there is an underlying connection in the deaths and whether three missing army conscripts are involved. The Darkness: A girl has committed suicide. More girls on a school in Skåne feel like doing the same. As Linda Wallander get the case shes more determined to solve this case than ever solving a case before, but feels more and more bad as she goes as she discovers that the girls on the school are being exploited and abused. Mastermind: Kurt and his men tries to find the connection between a horrible murder taken place in Ystad and the kidnapping of one in the police force daughter. It also seems someone has infiltrated the police and control every move the police make. The weak spot: A horse breeder is found dead, and almost everything proves that he is been kicked by his horse. But the post-mortem shows the opposite, the horse breeder had been hit to death and that is a case for Kurt Wallander. The neighbors confirms that he lived alone, but he had visits from a mysterious woman several times. An amazing thing on the farm shows a hole new side of the horse feeder and somewhere, in the beautiful state of Skåne, there's a dark world that didn't want to see the daylight.
