Synopsis:
Tess: A strong-willed peasant girl (Kinski) is sent by her father to the estate of some local aristocrats to capitalise on a rumor that their families are from the same line. This fateful visit commences an epic narrative of sex, class, betrayal, and revenge. The Lover: In 1929 French Indochina, a French teenage girl embarks on a reckless and forbidden romance with a wealthy, older Chinese man, each knowing that knowledge of their affair will bring drastic consequences to each other. Valmont: Set in Baroque France, a scheming widow and her lover make a bet regarding the corruption of a recently married woman. The lover, Valmont, bets that he can seduce her, even though she is an honorable woman. If he wins, he can have his lover to do as he will. However, in the process of seducing the married woman, Valmont falls in love. Based on the same novel as 'Dangerous Liaisons.' Lolita: New England, 1947. Having accepted a teaching post at Beardsley College, sophisticated professor of English literature Humbert Humbert rents a room at young widow Charlotte Haze's house in the quiet town of Ramsdale, New Hampshire. But there, an immediate fascination with Charlotte's lovely, soda-drinking 14-year-old daughter Dolores leads to a forbidden, all-consuming passion. Now, the wild flames of desire trap the grizzled academic in a dangerous game of seduction and obsession, attracting unwanted attention. Can Humbert escape the clutches of the destructive, unthinkable lust for gum-chewing Lolita, the unripe woman of his dreams?
