Synopsis:

Lady Lebanon vit avec son fils et ses domestiques dans un lugubre manoir a la campagne. Elle dirige d'une main inflexible la maison et souheterait voir son unique rejeton epouser au plus vite sa cousine. Mais une atmosphere sinistre regne en ses lieux et bientot un chauffeur est assassine. Scotland Yard mene l'enquete et soupconne fortement le docteur Amersham, personnage inquietant au passe charge. Quand on le retrouve assassine toutes les pistes sont brouillees ..... Des premices interessantes mais un denouement abracadabrant et ridicule .....
