Kalteva torni / The Leaning Tower:
The affable but behaviourally disturbed Johannes, whose progressively worsening condition leads to him being admitted to a psychiatric clinic, is terrified of not being able to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa before it collapses. And so he builds his own wooden leaning tower in the clinic grounds. It catches the eye of a little girl whose grandmother is a former ballerina. The elderly lady would love to show her granddaughter the places in Italy that she saw in the course of her career--including the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And so the three set out for Italy--made possible by the fact that the little girl's mother just happens to be Johannes' nurse. But when they fail to return, she has to head south and look for them.

A story about a Finnish poet in the early 20th century under the Russian regime.

The story of Antti Hammarberg that changed his name to Irwin Goodman, and became the favourite taste of a generation...

Kulkuri ja joutsen / The Swan and the Wanderer:
The film tells the story of two very popular Finnish singer/songwriters: Tapio Rautavaara (Tapio Liinoja) and Repe Helismaa (Martti Suosalo), who worked together until their relationship got frictious for a long time. The film covers the years from 1949 to 1965 (Helismaa's death). Since the film is based on real-life persons it also tells much about the change in Finland during those years and of course much about Finnish popular music.
