Synopsis:

Durant la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, Faber, un espion allemand en poste en Angleterre découvre le subterfuge élaboré pour les alliés pour faire croire à un débarquement sur les côtes du Pas-de-Calais. Alors qu'il s'apprête à transmettre l'information à son QG, l'officier, embarqué sur un esquif, est victime d'une attaque. Echoué sur l'île des Tempêtes, au large des côtes écossaises, il est recueilli par un couple, dont le mari est handicapé. Faber tombe immédiatement amoureux de Lucy, la femme...
