Synopsis:
No french review yet:
Bell-Bottom George (1944)
Navy club steward with low medical grade is turned down by the navy, but gets in by mistake when a sailor friend borrows his only suit of clothes and he is obliged to wear the sailor's uniform. Following a case of mistaken identity he becomes involved with enemy agents based in a taxidermists shop, and foils their attempts to blow up a British warship.

Get Cracking (1943)
Home Guard lance-corporal forever losing and winning back his stripe, involved in the rivalry between Major and Minor Wallop, Home Guard Divisions. Finally wins through and is made a sergeant after inventing a secret weapon - a home made tank.

I Didn't Do It (1945)
Stage struck newcomer to a theatrical boarding house is 'framed' with the murder of an acrobat by the murdered man's ex-partner, who is the real killer. The realistic murder scene earned the film it's 'A' certificate, nevertheless it lacks the usual mobility of a Formby vehicle.

Much Too Shy (1942)
An amateur artist come handyman gets into trouble when nude female bodies are added to the heads he has drawn of prominent ladies, and are sold as soap adverts.

George in Civvy Street (1946)
Rivalry between ex-service man turned publican and another crooked landlord in beer war. The film includes a dream sequence with the characters in "Alice In Wonderland", but 'Lavender' the stripper in the film earned it's a 'A' certificate.

He Snoops to Conquer (1944)
Handyman stands for election as Minister of Parliament for local village, and exposes corrupt councils plebiscite.

South American George (1941)
Formby in a dual role, impersonating an operatic tenor, and fighting the required mad bull.
