Synopsis:

Eduardo is the son of Jerónimo de Vinhais, a wealthy farmer of Bragança, who has a great passion for an art of bullfighting. Having studied abroad and refusing to make a career as a knight, Eduardo falls in love with a singer Maria da Graça and leaves with her to Lisbon. When the father refuses to send him more money, Eduardo becomes a bullfighter, while Maria da Graça abandons him at the request of his mother. Eduardo is collected and guided in his recovery by his fiancee Elizabeth, who forgave their scandalous past. Eduardo leaves the arena, marries Isabel and goes on to devote himself to the family estates.
