Synopsis:
À Brooklyn, durant les derniers mois de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, un couple (William H. Macy et Laura Dern) est victime de l'antisémitisme de son entourage, qui les prend, à tort, pour des Juifs. Leur expérience de la haine et du racisme au quotidien les rapproche d'un voisin, un Juif (David Paymer) qui a fui l'Europe.
