Synopsis:

A Glendiff, en Grande-Bretagne, le 27 septembre 1914, le riche et extravagant monsieur West meurt dans son château. Vingt ans plus tard, madame Allison Crosby, notaire, est chargée de l'ouverture et de la divulgation du testament. Elle convoque les héritiers du défunt et réunit tout ce petit monde dans la grande salle à manger du château, à l'heure du dîner. Il s'avère qu'une jeune femme, Annabelle, est légataire universelle. Peu à peu, les invités disparaissent l'un après l'autre, assassinés...
