Synopsis:

Les policiers écoutent avec un certain scepticisme les aveux de Catherine Girard, jeune femme fragile et désemparée, qui s'accuse d'avoir tué quelques heures plus tot la première épouse de Nick, son mari. En effet, cette affaire est depuis longtemps classée. La victime, Stella, a été assassinée deux ans plus tôt. Catherine raconte alors sa troublante histoire qui a commencé quelques mois auparavant, quand elle a épousé Nick. Dans l'appartement, encore imprégné du souvenir de la morte, Catherine découvre les traces d'une mystérieuse présence féminine.
