It's not hard to imagine why young boys of the forties rushed back week after week to keep up with the adventures of Jungle Girl Nyoka Meredith. Even today the sight of the stunning Frances Gifford swinging through the trees in her mico mini jungle skirt is enough to get temperatures rising. Scenes of her tied to the steak in episode one bring back memories of bondage cartoon character Sweet Gwendolin. But this is all very innocent really. It's a tale of a Doctor and his daughter Nyoka, forced to hide out in the jungles of Africa. Nyoka is brought up among the friendly natives and not so friendly animals of the African jungle. When Doctor Meredith's evil brother discovers the jungle home is the sight of a priceless diamond treasure. Trouble is on the way. But beware Nyoka is making herself Queen of the jungle. You go Jungle Girl!
